TRUNDLEY is strongly conscious of the role that the construction industry needs to play in mitigating future environmental degradation.
We seek to promote responsible stewardship of the environment at all times – in terms both of the way we operate and of the designs we produce.
This statement is therefore intended as encouragement for our staff, clients, colleagues and suppliers to share our commitment to the minimisation of environmental impact.
As a company, we regard compliance with current environmental legislation as only a minimum level of performance and, wherever it is reasonably viable to do so in our office environment, we:
Minimise waste (including internal recycling of material before disposing of it). |
Utilise energy-efficient equipment and components. |
Recycle waste products and materials. |
Utilise environmentally friendly products. |
Encourage staff to use energy-efficient and less polluting forms of transport. |
Avoid the use of non-sustainable resources. |
Throughout the development of each project, the environmental aspects of its design are systematically evaluated in formal design review meetings.
We review and continue our professional development and have recently obtained Authorised Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) Energy Rating Assessor status, allowing the practise to provide SAP Energy Ratings and comply with the requirements of European Directive for Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD), with an aim to enhance our design abilities to provide energy efficient design solutions.
In recognition of our commitment to, and ability to demonstrate, continuous improvement in terms of environmental impact, we are a registered ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management) company, having incorporated a number of environmental performance indicators into our Practice Management system which we review annually.
